Test Sign on Al Tahoe Blvd

The Test Sign was installed on Al Tahoe Blvd, on Thursday, July 31, 2008. It will only remain up for one week and is posted to give opportunity to see the proposed sign design. The sign is an illustration of the size, coloring, fonts and height of what will be eventually installed on Highway 50, which meets CalTrans highway standards and their agreed upon modifications (colors and symbols). The signs would replace cluttered locations of signs such as at Ski Run Blvd & Highway 50 and at the "Y" (Tahoe Valley) intersection and other similar locations.

However, in an effort to give the community an opportunity to view the proposed signs, the Al Tahoe location was selected as the Test Sign site to provide motorists an opportunity to slow down and take a look at the sign, or take photos.
