Betty “B” Gorman
CEO/President

Betty “B” Gorman a native of Vancouver, Canada is no stranger to mountain life having worked for Copper Mountain Resort prior to moving to California in 1995. She has a broad background in the hospitality/ restaurant and tourism industry along with strong business and leadership skills. Most recently Gorman spent nine years with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. “I started with MDA as a District Director producing a variety of events and managing numerous programs and shortly thereafter I was promoted to the regional office. During my seven year tenure in the regional office I oversaw an increasing number of people, programs and events, responsible for raising a net sum of almost 5 million dollars per annum. Much like this new job I met and worked with a wide variety of business and community leaders, boards, committees, community members, volunteers, celebrities, and families. I am looking forward to meeting more of you and hearing your ideas of what you want your new chamber to be!”

Georgette Riley
Administrative Assistant

If you've called TahoeChamber in the past few months, you've probably talked to Georgette. As the Administrative Assistant to both the Chamber and the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority, Georgette enjoys being part of two teams that are working to improve conditions on the South Shore.

"I love working in such a diverse community, with organizations that are truly invested in the resident and visitor experiences of our beautiful surroundings. As I've become more involved with TahoeChamber, supporting local businesses has become second nature to me. I know the value of shopping ON the Hill, and I love knowing that my dollars DO count."

Shannon McIsaac
Membership Services Director

Shannon McIsaac joins the TahoeChamber team with over 13 years of hotel sales experience, most recently as a National Sales Director for Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. Shannon has lived full time in South Lake Tahoe since 1998 and is very excited to be a part of this dynamic organization. “I have a deep passion for our area, and I am very excited to work closely with our business community. I look forward to getting to know our members and their needs."

Emily Abernathy
Events Coordinator

Planning events has been my passion for the past 5 years. I have experience in planning all types of events from weddings to trade shows and am very excited to put my skills to work here at the Chamber. Born and raised in Oakland, California. I then attended Humboldt State University where I studied Recreation Administration. After school I came to Tahoe to spend the winter and to learn to ski. I fell in love with the mountains and have been here ever since. I enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, yoga and spending time with my friends and family.

Jessica Cunningham
Communications & Membership Services Coordinator

I have been in South Lake Tahoe for over 25 years. I graduated from both Lake Tahoe Community College and the University of Nevada, Reno with degrees in Spanish, Business, and Marketing. I am excited be a part of this dynamic staff and for the opportunity to use my learned skills to help the Chamber progress technologically. Amongst my many duties I will be managing the social media sites, researching new technologies, developing a blog, and managing both the monthly e-newsletter and semi-annual newsletters.
