Description
Child Advocates of El Dorado County is a volunteer-based children’s non-profit that provides Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) to local children in the foster care court system. Through no fault of their own, these children are removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect, finding themselves in a world of uncertainty. As a CASA Volunteer, you are assigned to a child, and tasked with spending time with the child, getting familiar with the child’s court case, and providing much needed information to the court regarding the child’s needs and best interests. As a Child Advocate, you collaborate with the Court, Social Workers, Service Providers and others, to assist in finding a safe and permanent home for a child in need. Become a CASA Volunteer!
