    President/CEO – Betty “B” Gorman, AA, B.S., J.D., A.C.E.

    Ms. Gorman’s diverse background includes ski resort, non-profit, hotel/restaurant, entertainment, and winery experience in addition to owning her own small business.

    “B” graduated from the Western Association of Chamber Executives three-year chamber training program in 2010 and was recognized with Accredited Chamber Executive (ACE) status in February 2011 as a result of her experience in Economic Development and Chamber Management. “B” is always eager to meet with aspiring entrepreneurs as well as seasoned business professionals to share knowledge in the quest for South Shore prosperity.

    Membership Services Director - Justin Sinner, B.A.

    Justin SinnerJustin has enjoyed all that Lake Tahoe has to offer since his family moved to Northern California in the early 1990s. An avid snow skier and backpacker, you can find Justin on the mountain during his free time. Justin graduated with a degree in Communications  and enjoys meeting chamber members while learning about the unique attributes and story of each business.

    Events Director - Emily Abernathy, B.A.

    Emily was born and raised in Northern California and her degree in Recreation Administration prepared her well for life in the mountains and her career with the chamber. Emily strives to enhance each and every event to provide the utmost value to the membership and welcomes member’s ideas and feedback.

    Communications Coordinator - Donielle Stevens, B.A.

    Donielle grew up in Reno, NV spending her summers getting to know the Tahoe area by building trail in the region's backcountry. After completing her degree in Philosophy: Ethics, Law, & Politics and Business Administration she moved to the mountains in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Donielle has more than five years of experience in the non-profit sector and has a passion for storytelling and content creation. She helps members with their marketing needs and enjoys connecting the community with local businesses.

     Accounting Manager – Joanna Lilly, BS, MBAJoanna Lilly Headshot

    Joanna has lived, worked, studied, and played in the Carson Valley/Tahoe area with her family and friends since 2000. She earned her Accounting and Business degrees at UNR. As a former small business owner, Joanna appreciates the entrepreneurial spirit, and supports our local businesses whenever possible. Although she is usually found behind the scenes, Joanna enjoys interacting with our chamber members at many of our community events.

     Administrative Coordinator - Sarah Ackerson, B.A.Sarah Head Shot

    Sarah previously worked four seasons as a ski instructor at Heavenly. She graduated from the Universidad del Desarrollo in Chile with a degree in Advertising with a minor in Marketing and Consumer Pyschology. Sarah assists member businesses by providing them with the best resources and services available.

     Staff Assistant - Michelle McNicol, B.A.

    Michelle has a degree in Political Science - Public Service from The University of California, Davis, with experience in marketing and social media management. Her education and prior work experience has led her to a career in marketing and event coordination. You can find this California native enjoying the outdoors while striving to enhance the South Shore community.
