South Lake Tahoe Police Department Crime Prevention Program
	The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce and the South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) are working together on behalf of the businesses in our community with the goal of preventing crime before it begins.

The South Lake Tahoe Police Department wants to help make your business a safe place for you, your employees, and your customers. To do so, they are now offering a free crime prevention assessment of your business. The goal in offering this new program is to work with the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce and the business community to increase security and eliminate opportunities for criminal activity that could affect your business and our community.

To request a crime prevention assessment at your place of business, simply fill out and submit the following form. Crime prevention topics include: robbery and burglary prevention, security and lighting, cash handling, self-protection, graffiti abatement, tips to deter crime through design: for example (surveillance cameras, shop lifting prevention) and/or topics of concern to the business. There are no fees charged for this service. Upon completion of the assessment of your business you will receive a written evaluation and recommendations for improvement to better protect your establishment. This report should be sent to you with within ten (10) workings days from the date of your inspection and you are encouraged to implement the recommended measures.
